I was able to acquire series of Hewlett Packard brochures from around 1982, they provide an insight into the technological challenges of the time and the solutions available. 1982 is, of course, prior to the advent of the ‘PC’ and of a time when CP/M ruled, not DOS and its later variants.
HP’s were marketing their 10,40,80,100 and 200 series comprising a range of calculators and computers. Plant Automation was a new discipline touting the protocol X-25, not TCP/IP.
