The Author.

My wife Maree and I live and work from our home and offices on a hill overlooking Ocean Bay, in the area known as Port Underwood in the Marlborough Sounds, in the top right hand corner of the South Island of New Zealand. We have power, phone and satellite internet access, but no mail, courier or paper delivery. Our closest neighbour is about 1km (1/2 mile) away. At this stage we have about 170 acres of mostly scrub (rough bush to you non-Kiwis). The view is pretty impressive though.

View from the Cottage. The South Island Maori Chiefs met on the island in the left of the picture (Hora Hora) in 1840 to sign the Treaty of Waitangi.
